Fort Desoto - Mulberry Tree

The Mulberry Tree is found just past the eastern edge of the parking lot for the Bay Side Fishing Pier. It is adjacent to a small house.

Ft. Desoto can be the first landfall for many migratory birds traveling across the Gulf of Mexico in the spring. When they reach the park they normally are found at the Mulberry Tree resting and feeding. Being successful here require luck, patience and usually your longest lens.
